No matter how long it may take me to go through security I refuse to tip toe through that metal detector with my bare feet, eeek, think of all the icky stuff you can pick up as you anxiously await your bags! When not traveling in boots, I always throw a pair of comfy socks in my carryon, that way I slip them on as I take off my shoes in the security line.
